About
I am Charles Edmonds, a software developer with over 25 years of commercial programming experience. I build tools for the Clarion development ecosystem, modern AI related software and work across multiple languages and stacks.
I use AI every day - seriously, under load, for real work. Not demos, not experiments. Production code, commercial products, documentation, and problem solving across legacy and modern stacks.
I have been working this way intensively for nearly two years. In that time I have developed workflows and methods that produce reliable results, and I have also learned where AI fails, where it misleads, and where the hype diverges sharply from the practice.
Ask Good Questions exists because I think most people are using these tools wrong - not because they are careless, but because nobody has given them a clear framework for using them right.
Better questions produce better results. Everything on this site follows from that.
The Book
I am working on Real Programmers Use AI, the first in a series of practical books about using AI as a serious tool without losing your voice, your judgment, or your accountability for the work.
